You can't change the whole world...

... You can only affect a small part of it.
James believes that when you are fortunate and blessed in this life, it is your duty to give back to the community.

James' philanthropic beliefs were bestowed on him from his mother at an early age, who not only gave to, but also organized numerous charity events.

On an annual basis James gives back to over 30 charities, including the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, CANFAR, The Canadian Cancer Society, Holland Bloorview and of course The Yellow Brick House.

James spends his free time volunteering at women's shelters in both Toronto and York Region, stocking the pantries at The Covenant House and bringing education and awareness to children’s charities.

In June of 2017, James was asked to compete in Toronto's Dancing With The Stars, where not only did he win First Place and the Mirror Ball Trophy, but was able to present his charity - The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation with a sizable donation.

From women spending time in shelters hugging me telling me that my story of survival has given them hope, to children in hospitals that smile when I come to read stories.
It is because of this, that I know I am exactly where I need to be and doing exactly what I need to be doing."

James prides himself on donating a portion of his commission to both the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and The Covenant House.
